The Challenge

A market leading insured suffered from a lack of alignment in processes, IT applications and the cost effectiveness balance across the global finance operations. Furthermore, there was a need for greater decision support and partnering from Finance to key operational functions.

Our Approach

We structured, designed and delivered a Finance Target Operating model and transformation programme approach to implement a revised target operating model for the consolidation of global finance operations into a shared service centre.

This involved developing and facilitating an inclusive, cross cultural approach with key stakeholders to achieve buy-in to the proposed organisational and functional change. It included the detailed definition of the revised operating model and the development of a credible and detailed supporting business case to provide a robust, actionable design.

The Outcome

By creating a credible global finance operating model and focussing heavily on stakeholder engagement and buy-in, we delivered a solution that the client was then able to quickly mobilise and execute against with minimal refinement.
